What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and concentration that we all experience regularly. Examples include “highway hypnosis” when driving or being engrossed in a book or movie.
In this relaxed state, you are more open to accessing subconscious thought patterns, but you remain in control and can reject any suggestions you don't want to accept.
What is a hypnotherapy session like?
Hypnotherapy is a talk therapy like any other e.g. with the difference being there are specific moments of intervention (trance) to get to the root of an issue and shift sticky thought patterns. Hypnotherapy is not meant to be indefinite, its powerful methods are designed to make progress in 3 or 4 sessions.
Will I be asleep or unconscious during hypnosis?
No, you will not be asleep or unconscious during hypnosis. You will be aware of your surroundings and can hear and respond to the therapist. You might feel deeply relaxed, but you can open your eyes or speak at any time.
What if I can't be hypnotized?
Almost everyone can experience hypnosis to some degree! With an open mind and a willingness to let go. Hypnosis is a collaborative journey, and together with we'll discover what works best for you.
How can hypnotherapy help me?
Hypnotherapy can help you with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, low. self-confidence, phobias etc. It works by accessing your subconscious mind to identify and change unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors.
